When Push Comes to Yawn

The politics of political accountability met the politics of political desolation tonight on live television. President Obama laid out his plan for revitalizing the economy, while Louisiana’s Gov. Bobby Jindal added more water to the sinking boat called the Republican Party. Jindal giving a speech after Obama was like me running onto the Los Angeles Staples Center floor wearing a “Celtics” jersey after a big Lakers victory…

Don't Republicans love Bobby Jindal? Why subject him to such humiliation? This should cause Republicans to re-think their efforts at stonewalling Obama’s financial agenda. They should learn that going up against a man who brings accountability is not wise when all you can offer is “no,” and Jindal… Better yet, next time no Jindal. Please!

On second thought, send Jindal or even Palin back to deliver the Republican responses each time President Obama addresses a joint session of congress. That should ensure the complete desolation of their Rush Limbaugh engineered political party… Looking at the bright side, the American economy is sure to recover if there are no more congressional Republicans voting to please Limbaugh.

Anyone finding fault with President Obama’s address tonight can only be characterized as “bitter.” No wonder Republicans embraced “Joe the Plumber” so effortlessly… Now he’s a real bitter Republican!

I guess it only makes sense for a drowning Republican Party to leave an unobtrusive Bobby Jindal in Obama’s massive wake...
