By Their Fruits You Will Know Them

President Jimmy Carter is a politician you can trust, and he certainly knows racism when he sees it. Who doesn't? The most potent part of his statement on modern racism in America is that it is old hat!

Likewise, all concerned Americans have a right and an obligation to question the motives of the Joe Wilsons and Rush Limbaughs and "Birthers" who openly question President Obama's patriotic legitimacy... The same way former Los Angeles Dodger executive Al Campanis was called out for openely and wrongly questioning the "mental necessities" blacks possessed, or lacked, in qualifying for executive positions within Major League Baseball...
Campanis lost his job as a white baseball executive after loudly expressing such Jim Crow thinking back in the 1980's. But Republicans of 2010 seem to think they should not be questioned for embracing white "Real Americans" who have outlandishly expressed their beliefs about President Obama's heritage, while holding signs and posters depicting him as an African witch doctor and a monkey...
These "Americans" insult all of African-America, as well as the whole nation by falsely trying to pass off their racism as "concerned real Americans" who want "their" country back... This smacks of nothing less than pure racist hatred in its most blatant and unsophisticated form...
Coupled with the fact that only white Americans participate in these low-life demonstrations, the Republican side of Congress seems to be nothing more than a Whites Only Club with Shelby Steele as their doorman...
Black Americans are being asked by Republicans to ignore the long history of racism in America, and agree with them that Obama is a bad man; a terrorist Kenyan who cannot produce a birth certificate... We should not oblige them.
These code words and phrases are derivatives of past government policies that led to redlining blacks out of white neighborhoods, and keeping black children out of white schools across the nation. Past policies that Republicans widely supported and embraced as did the late Strom Thurmond who secretly fathered black children in the segregated South, and who also groomed Joe Wilson's politics of today.
Of course, when you hold a mirror up to the Strom Thurmonds and Joe Wilsons of America, they will call you names and advise their support groups to strap on guns in protest. They will deny their own racist reflections of the past and present...
Watch and see how these racists go after President Carter as they do President Obama... That type of behavior is meant to convince you and the media that they are equal opportunity bigots...
"Real, rotten American fruit..."
